- This central record ensures that the Unique Identifier can only be redeemed once.
What does this mean?
- The data collected from the Unique Identifier in the datamatrix code, which is stored on the Secure Authentication server, enable drugs to be verified as to their authenticity.
- As a result, counterfeiters can be effectively prosecuted as the drugs can be proved to be counterfeit.
